As part of this year's KinderUni Wien , two workshops - Die "kleine" Bauelemente-Bäckerei and Elektronikworkshop - were held at the Institute for Microelectronics on July 11th and July 12th, respectively. The workshops were attended by over 40 kids ranging in age from 7 to 12.
In Die "kleine" Bauelemente-Bäckerei kids learned about the fabrication of microelectronic devices while baking and eating cookies.
At the Elektronikworkshop, it was our great pleasure to welcome the Austrian Federal Minister for Education, Science and Research, Martin Polaschek. During this event, the kids and Martin Polaschek worked on assembling electronic circuits. They placed various components on their own circuit board and soldered them.
A special thank you goes to all the volunteers and assistants who made this event a success again!
