Erasmus Langer was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1951. After having received the degree of Diplomingenieur from the Technische Universität Wien in 1980, he was employed at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 1986 he received his doctoral degree and in 1988 he joined the Institute for Microelectronics. In 1997 he received the venia docendi in microelectronics. Since 1999 Dr. Langer has been head of the institute. His current research topic is the simulation of micro-structures using High Performance Computing paradigms.
Siegfried Selberherr was born in Klosterneuburg, Austria, in 1955. He received the degree of Diplomingenieur in electrical engineering and the doctoral degree in technical sciences from the Technische Universität Wien in 1978 and 1981, respectively. Prof. Selberherr has been holding the venia docendi on Computer-Aided Design since 1984. From 1988 to 1999 he was the Head of the Institute for Microelectronics. From 1998 to 2005 he served as Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. His current research topics are modeling and simulation of problems for microelectronics engineering.
Ewald Haslinger was born
in Vienna, Austria, in 1959. He joined the Institute for
Microelectronics in December 1991. Since that time he has been
in charge of organizational, administrative, and technical work at
the institute.
Manfred Katterbauer was
born in Schwarzach St.Veit, Austria, in 1965. He joined the Institute
for Microelectronics in February 1995. Since that time he has been in
charge of all technical hardware and software work at the institute. In January 2005 he received the degree of Diplomingenieur (Fachhochschule) from the FH-Campus Wien.
Renate Winkler was born in
Vienna, Austria, in 1960. She joined the Institute for Microelectronics
in November 1993. Since that time she has been in charge of
organizational and administrative work at the institute.
