5.4 Conclusion

The examples of this chapter further demonstrate the usefulness of the nonlinear least squares optimization task module as the basis of the characterization capabilities in a TCAD framework. It was found that the   Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is quite adequate for the various applications   typically encountered. Other applications will be described in the next chapter where this module is used to extract the parameter values of analytical MOSFET models for circuit simulation.
