10.1.1 I-V curves

The resulting I-V curves for the RTD are depicted in Fig. 10.1.

While the QTBM solution has a peak-to-valley ratio of approximately 5, the Wigner solution only shows a weak resonance with a peak-to-valley ratio of roughly 1.4. So it seems as if in the Wigner function simulation some scattering mechanisms are included which diminish device performance.
