Biography (as of 29-06-1996): Gerhard Rieger was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1963. He studied electrical engineering at the Technische Universität Wien, where he received the degree of Diplomingenieur in 1991. He joined the Institute for Microelectronics in December 1991, where he studied for his doctoral degree which he received in June 1996. In 1994 he held a visiting research position at SONY, Atsugi, Japan. His research interests include programming languages and compilers, software technology, geometry, and visualization. | ||||
