As part of the this year's KinderUni Wien, the Institute for Microelectronics will host two workshops: Elektronikworkshop on July 11th and Die "kleine" Bauelemente-Bäckerei on July 13th. Places in these workshops were filled on the first day that registrations were enabled.
The Elektronikworkshop will be attended by kids ranging in age from 10 to 12, where they will build a simple electronic circuit. They will place various components on their own circuit board and solder them. At the end of the workshop participants will be able to take their self-made electronic circuit home. The workshop lasts about 3-3.5h, with small breaks in between. The communication language will be German.
Die "kleine" Bauelemente-Bäckerei will be attended by kids ranging in age from 7 to 12, where they will learn about the fabrication of microelectronic devices while baking and eating cookies. This workshop lasts about 2 hours, with short breaks in between. There will be baking and eating in this workshop. This workshop will be held in both German and English.
