Cut and Paste

It is also just too easy to copy parts of existing methodology, implemented in software solutions, and to modify and extend it in a way that it will solve another problem. Software is the most dangerously flexible and tolerant medium, so with enough effort, anyhing can be created, regardless whether this counteracts the very basic concepts of the existing ``raw material'' software. Code which entirely lacks conceptual integrity, but fulfills an urgent requirement, is copied, duplicated and modified within a few seconds, spreading any disease with exponential efficiency. It is virtually impossible to get rid of this disease once the created methodology becomes operational and its application starts solving problems.
