Base System Library

All of the framework code strictly uses a base system library, whereas the utilization of this library by applications depends on their type and level of integration. It includes, for example, global handling and treatment of events and error conditions, passing of general resources and parameters between framework and applications, and operating system independent interfaces to the underlying file system and to the process control facilities.
