4.3.1 The Model Definition Language

A model within AMI is a set of coupled systems of partial differential equations discretized for use of a general PDE solver (AMIGOS). During model development it is not necessary to know the future simulation domain, boundary conditions or dimension, since AMI represents an abstract language which can be defined on a single element of a mesh-structure. The following chapters give an overview of the supported features of the model definition language.
