Kouichi Semba joined NTT Labs and revealed elemental composition of 90K cuprate superconductor YBa2Cu3O7 [Jpn. J. Appl. Phys. 26, L429 1987]. 2002-2003, he joined QT-group at TU-Delft lead by professor Hans Mooij. He participated the first Rabi oscillation experiment of a flux qubit. 2003-2012, he had been a group leader of superconducting quantum physics research group. His NTT team achieved a lot of prominent work. In May 2012, he moved to National Institute of Informatics as a project professor.
