Call for Papers
The IW2 2017 will bring together researchers in all areas of science and engineering where Wigner functions are or could be applied. Topics of interest are (but not limited to):
- Computational or Numerical Challenges
- Quantum Circuits
- Quantum Information Processing
- Quantum Optics
- Quantum Physics
- Quantum Transport
Abstracts are limited to two pages (A4) following this template; single page abstracts will also be considered. The abstracts should be submitted to email@example.com using "IW2 2017 Abstract Submission" in the subject field.
The abstracts will be peer reviewed by the organizers and the program committee and - if accepted, registered, and presented at the workshop - will be published (and hosted online on this website) in a Book of Abstracts.
Authors of accepted papers are requested to present their research via talks or posters. The type of presentation will be conveyed with the acceptance email.

There is a stand-alone registration option for the IW2 (when asked to select the attendee type, make sure to select "Workshop Only (IOP or SID member)") and a combination option for attending the IWCN as well as the IW2 (when asked to select the attendee type, select anything but "Workshop Only (IOP or SID member)"); use the "Click here to register online" button to register. The IW2 will be held on June 5, 2017 at the
Low Wood Bay Hotel, Ambleside Road, Windermere, Cumbria
LA23 1LP, UK and is co-located with the
IWCN 2017, June 6-9. The IWCN is the successor workshop series of the former International Workshop on Computational Electronics (IWCE). The IWCN is the perfect host conference for the IW2, as it provides a synergistic platform for physicists and engineers alike. IW2 attendees are strongly encouraged to attend the IWCN and vice versa. Registration options can be found on the IWCN registration page.
Set on the A591 a 1.9 mile drive from Ambleside village, this lakefront resort and marina is a 3 mile drive from Windermere village and the train station. International attendees can fly in to Manchester (the nearest airport), take a train to Windermere, and go by taxi the rest of the way. Alternatively, attendees can go via London and take a longer train ride to Windermere.
About the Hotel
The hotel offers traditional, homey rooms (free Wireless); some have lake views. There's a European restaurant, a casual lounge and a lakeside bistro. A leisure centre features a pool, gym, sauna, beauty salon and hot tub, as well as fitness classes. The lakeside watersports centre offers boat and kayak rentals, plus waterskiing, fishing and boating lessons. Parking is free and there's a kids' club.
