Wigner Initiative

This Wiki acts as the main hub for the activities of the Wigner Initiative, being a community of researchers which utilizes the Wigner formalism for its research. In particular, this Wiki provides an overview of the currently active researchers as well as their Wigner-specific focus areas, which is being maintained by each of the individual researchers. Also, special events such as conferences, workshops, and publications are brought to the attention of the community via this platform. More details...

Motivation

Particular motivations for creating the Wigner Initiative and this Wiki are to increase synergy effects and to foster knowledge transfer within the community. Looking at the development of research in Wigner functions, critics claim that, although various groups pick up the work, they abandon it again, never delivering a compelling research result, in turn being essential to the justification of the approach in general. A clear presentation of the evolution in the field is needed.

Wigner Lecture Series

Talks and lectures on various areas of Wigner functions are given by our community to various audiences. To be able to collect and to share these talks among the Wigner Initiative members and the general scientific community we will centrally list them here.

Our primary efforts are focused on a dedicated Wigner Lecture Series YouTube channel which is continuously populated with new videos.

Aside from our dedicated YouTube channel, Jean Michel Sellier provides a lecture series on YouTube, Nano-Archimedes, and on nanoHUB.org.
