4.5.3.13.1 Scalar Coefficients for Segment Models:

The result of the scalar coefficient models ${\alpha}$, ${\gamma}$, $a$, $b$, and $d$ is represented by the Interface Parameter Coeff (Table 4.20). The derivatives are contained in Parameters following the naming convention: The name starts with the prefix dCoeff. Since the characters '/' and '|' are reserved for MDL operators, the symbolic fraction is represented by the character ' \ensuremath{\mathtt{\backslash}}'. The rest of the Parameter name is composed by the string ``d_'' and the MDL name of the according quantity.

Table 4.20: Parameters common to scalar segment coefficient Models
Name Type Description
Coeff double
the resulting coefficient value
dCoeff \ensuremath{\mathtt{\backslash}}d_Cown double
derivative of the Coefficient to the column quantity
dCoeff \ensuremath{\mathtt{\backslash}}d_psi double
derivative of the resulting coefficient to the electrostatic potential $\psi$
dCoeff \ensuremath{\mathtt{\backslash}}d_MdlQuantity double
derivative of the resulting coefficient to the value of the quantity MdlQuantity
