A TCAD framework [16,62] is a software environment supporting multiple simulators and tools. They allow the computation of simulation flows with simulators of different type and from different vendors. So TCAD Frameworks enable a user friendly access to simulators for process or device engineers. The use of additional statistical methods and optimizers in conjunction with TCAD tools reduces the development time and cost of new technologies.
