7.4.1 Component Abstraction and Reuse

One key concept which meets these demands is the usage of object oriented GUI components. Due to object orientation, encapsulated components -- so called Visuals -- can be used multiply with a minimum need for additional coding. Furthermore, these components are extendable in case that their features should not be sufficient for an out of the box usage. Visuals can easily be customized to fulfill particular needs.
