Josef Weinbub

Biography

Josef Weinbub holds a bacherlor's degree in electrical engineering, a master's degree in microelectronics, and a doctoral degree in technical sciences from the TU Wien, Austria. He was a visiting researcher at EPCC, University of Edinburgh and the Device Modelling Group, University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK. He leads the Christian Doppler Laboratory for High Performance TCAD, where he and his team investigate cutting-edge research problems in the area of high performance process TCAD. In general, however, he conducts research in the field of computational science, with a special focus on software engineering, algorithms, data structures, software frameworks, visualization, and high performance computing.

Wigner-specific research

Aside from his research, he is a member of the Wigner Initiative's steering committee, and he is one of the founding members and co-organizsers of the International Wigner Workshop (IW2) series.
