In this chapter microelectronic optimization applications are presented. In Section 5.1 the underlying concepts of a efficient simulation environment and some optimization scenarios are presented. Section 5.2 shows an optimization of the electrical performance of a transistor using analytical doping profiles. Section 5.3 deals with an inverse modeling task of a MOSFET given by measured current voltage curves and the process-simulated doping profile.
