2.3 Experimental Results and Additional Physical Effects

The standard physical model discussed in the preceding section is now compared with experimental - data. Systematic disagreements between calculations and measurements are observed and several physical phenomena which may be responsible are discussed. An engineering approach to remove the disagreements in modeling the gate-depletion effect is proposed. The present investigations may be of general interest for modeling heavily doped space-charge regions.
