2D materials are at the center of the doctoral school "TU-D" at the TU Wien, which is now being continued with funding from the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). “TU-D” is a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary school involving the Faculty of Physics, Faculty of Technical Chemistry, and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. Out of the 10 PhD students who will be funded by the FWF, two are from the Institute for Microelectronics and will join Tibor’s and Lado’s groups to study insulators for 2D materials and 2D materials-based gas sensors.
