Effective May 1, 2023, our colleague Lado Filipovic has been promoted to a tenured Associate Professor with a focus on investigating the fabrication, operation, stability, and reliability of novel semiconductor-based sensors. His group is currently developing a process simulator and emulator ViennaPS, while investigating a multi-scale approach to process modeling which includes machine-learning enhanced molecular dynamics. He is furthermore investigating the potential applicability of novel material systems (e.g., 2D materials) in sensing.
