Surendran Velmurugan was born in Paramakudi, India in 1994. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from SNS College of Technology, Coimbatore (B.E 2016). Thereafter, he obtained the degree of MSc Nanoelectronic Systems in January 2020 from Techische Universitat Dresden, Germany. He joined the Institute for Microelectronics in October 2020, where he is working towards his doctoral degree in Characterization and Modeling of Two-Dimensional Sensors.
