Two "sub auspiciis" doctoral graduations

Theresia Knobloch and Alexander Toifl received the highest possible distinction for academic achievements for a doctoral degree in Austria.

We are proud to announce that on 22.11.2022 two of our doctoral students, Theresia Knobloch and Alexander Toifl, were honored for their outstanding achievements at school and university with a "Promotio sub auspiciis Praesidentis rei publicae" doctoral graduation. Federal Minister Dr. Martin Polaschek awarded both the "Ring of Honor of the Republic of Austria" on behalf of the Federal President Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen who, unfortunately, could not attend due to illness. Tibor Grasser and Josef Weinbub each held an honorific speech for their respective former doctoral student.

After graduation, Theresia decided to remain at IuE as a post-doctoral researcher while Alexander joined Silvaco Europe Ltd. as a TCAD software development engineer.

We congratulate Theresia and Alexander for their outstanding achievements!
