The book 'The Wigner Function in Science and Technology' written by David K. Ferry (School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering, Arizona State University, USA) and Mihail Nedjalkov (Institute for Microelectronics, TU Wien, Austria), currently in production and can be pre-order here.
This book gives a background on the origins and development of Wigner functions and their use in widely disparate fields of science and technology. It is also one of the major outcomes of the long lasting collaboration between Prof. D.K.Ferry, coauthor and editor of some 40 books and the Wigner group at the Institute of Microelectronics: M. Nedjalkov, J. Weinbub and others, playing a central role in several activities such as the Wigner Initiative which aims to highlight the importance of Wigner functions.
